HMNB Portsmouth Tug Berths

Working with Herbosch-Kiere, TILT designed three floating tug berths for KBS who are responsible for the Portsmouth Naval Base.

The project involved the design of a floating pontoon system, guide restraints, access brow, service integration and structural assessment of the historic quay walls.

The large tug vessels serve the varied naval fleet including the new Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers.
